The local disposal guide

Will the city
take it?

Euless contracts its residential garbage to Republic Services for two collections a week, and bulky pieces ride along with that same service: a washer, a couch, a mattress or a stove goes to the curb with the regular garbage and a separate truck comes for it later in the day. Concrete, brick and builders rubble are a different story, because they cannot be compacted and will not be collected at the curb at all. Hazardous material leaves the city entirely, either at the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center during its weekday and Saturday hours or at Euless's own fall collection day at the City Hall complex, and electronics are handled either at that collection day or for a fee at the Arlington Landfill.

Bulky objects beside the garbage

Accepted with preparation

Euless takes bulky objects at the curb with the regular garbage, so a large piece goes out on your normal pickup day and a separate truck collects it later that day.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Bulky collection rides the residential garbage service the city contracts with Republic Services, and the city publishes no separate per item charge; garbage fees are collected through the water utility office.
When & how
Place the piece at the curb with the regular garbage by 7 a.m. on your normal pickup day, and leave it there because the bulky truck follows the garbage route during the same day.
Get it ready
Keep the piece clear of the containers so the collection crews can work around it, bag or bundle loose material that would blow away, and keep non-compactable material such as stone, brick, concrete and builders rubble out of the pile entirely.

Mattresses

Accepted with preparation

A mattress is named on the city's bulky list and goes to the curb with the regular garbage for a separate truck later the same day.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Mattresses ride the bulky collection that is part of the contracted residential garbage service, with no separate per item charge published by the city.
When & how
Put the mattress at the curb by 7 a.m. on your normal pickup day, and not before 7 p.m. the day before, then leave it for the bulky truck.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress dry where you can, clear of the garbage containers so the crew can reach both, and keep it out of the recycling cart and any yard waste bundle.

Couches and furniture

Accepted with preparation

Furniture is named on the city's bulky list and leaves the curb with the regular garbage collection.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Furniture is collected as part of the contracted residential garbage service, and no separate per item charge is published.
When & how
Have the piece at the curb by 7 a.m. on your normal pickup day, not before 7 p.m. the day before, and leave it for the bulky truck that follows the route.
Get it ready
Keep the piece beside the bags or containers rather than blocking them, and keep it clear of fire hydrants, mailboxes and driveways so the crew can reach it safely.

Appliances and white goods

Accepted with preparation

Washers, dryers and stoves go out with the bulky collection, but a refrigerator, freezer or air conditioner is only collected when the refrigerant has been removed and a certified technician's letter and certificate copy are attached to the unit.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Appliances ride the bulky collection in the contracted residential garbage service with no city per item charge, while the certified refrigerant removal is the resident's own cost from the technician who performs it.
When & how
Book the technician's refrigerant removal first if the unit holds refrigerant, then set the appliance at the curb with the regular garbage by 7 a.m. on your normal pickup day with the letter and certificate copy attached.
Get it ready
Attach a letter signed by a certified technician confirming the removal of freon and other harmful chemicals, with a copy of the technician's certificate, or the unit will not be collected. Keep the appliance clear of the containers and empty of food and loose items.

Televisions

Accepted with preparation

A television is an electronic waste item at the Arlington Landfill, where Euless residents pay a published charge for each electronic item.

City cost & eligibility
$25 per electronic waste item at the Arlington Landfill, with televisions, computers, printers and DVD players named in that category. The landfill charge applies to each electronic waste item, and the general free access for Euless residents is separate: it is limited to individual homeowner waste delivered in a car, pickup or 8 foot long trailer on up to four Saturdays a year, with hazard waste excluded.
When & how
Take the television to the Arlington Landfill at 800 Mosier Valley Road on a Saturday between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., which is the only window the free resident access runs, and expect the electronic item charge.
Get it ready
Bring a valid Texas driver licence and an Euless water bill with matching addresses for the residency check, cover the load, and keep the television out of the recycling cart.

Computers and other electronics

Accepted with preparation

Small electronics are taken at no charge at the city's hazardous material collection day, and larger electronic items can go to the Arlington Landfill for a per item charge.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Residents do not pay to drop off material at the city collection day, which takes small electrical appliances such as computers, radios, VCRs, DVD players, stereos and clocks, though the city is charged 125 dollars for each car load. A landfill drop-off instead charges 25 dollars per electronic waste item.
When & how
Bring small electronics to a hazardous material collection day at the Euless City Hall Complex on 201 N. Ector Drive, with the next date on Saturday 7 November 2026, or take larger items to the Arlington Landfill on a Saturday.
Get it ready
Erase personal data from drives and phones, bring the power supplies with the device, and keep electronics out of the recycling cart because the city's recycling list refuses electronic material.

Construction and project material

Special rules apply

Small residential repair debris can go to the curb within strict size limits, while stone, bricks, concrete, builders rubble and large metal items are not collected at all and go to the Arlington Landfill on Saturdays.

City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no construction rate and refuses non-compactable material at the curb, so the cost depends on the landfill gate: free resident access covers ordinary homeowner loads in a car, pickup or 8 foot trailer on up to four Saturdays a year, and larger or commercial loads are charged. Confirm the load at the landfill before hauling.
When & how
Keep non-compactable material off the curb and take it to the Arlington Landfill on a Saturday between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., or put only the allowed small repair debris out with the regular garbage.
Get it ready
Containerize or bundle the small repair material from a residential property owner within 4 feet by 6 feet and 50 pounds, and keep stone, bricks, concrete, builders rubble and large metal out of the curbside pile entirely.

Exercise equipment

Special rules apply

Exercise equipment is named nowhere on the city's garbage, hazardous materials or recycling pages, so a treadmill or a home gym has to be confirmed with the city.

City cost & eligibility
No published city page names or prices exercise equipment, so call the city at 817-685-1400 and confirm whether the machine will be collected as a bulky item before it goes to the curb.
When & how
Call the city before the machine goes out, then set it with the regular garbage by 7 a.m. on your pickup day only if it is approved.
Get it ready
Break the machine down as far as it will come apart, remove loose weights and the console so two people can lift the frame, and keep it clear of the containers and out of the recycling cart.
City garbage page with the hauler contract, curb timing, bulky objects, non-compactable waste, cooling appliance rule, repair debris, brush rules and landfill access

Paint, chemicals and automotive fluids

Accepted with preparation

Paint, pesticides, used oil, automotive fluids, cleaners, solvents and large batteries are refused at the curb and go to the Fort Worth collection center or to the city's own fall collection day.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Residents do not pay to drop off hazardous material at the collection sites, and the city is charged 125 dollars for each car load, so the page asks residents to make each trip count. Proof of Euless residency, a driver licence and a water bill, is required.
When & how
Take the material to the Environmental Collection Center at 6400 Bridge Street in Fort Worth on Thursday or Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. or Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., or wait for the city collection day at the Euless City Hall Complex, with the next one on Saturday 7 November 2026.
Get it ready
Keep products in their original containers, bring them in one load rather than several trips because the city pays for each car load, and keep hazardous material out of the garbage and recycling carts, where the city's lists refuse it.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Euless handles most bulky material at the curb, so self hauling is mainly for what the trucks cannot compact and for chemicals. Non-compactable material and electronic items go to the Arlington Landfill at 800 Mosier Valley Road, which admits Euless residents on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a Texas licence and a matching water bill, charges for each electronic item, and gives free access to ordinary homeowner loads on up to four visits a year.
