The local disposal guide
North Richland Hills has no bulk collection day to remember. Republic Services runs a twice weekly take all service, and bulky items such as old furniture and appliances go on the curb on any normal collection day, collected once a week and limited to four cubic yards. Collection runs Monday and Thursday south of the railroad tracks and Tuesday and Friday north of it, and the city asks that bags and cans go out no earlier than 7 p.m. the day before and no later than 7 a.m. on the collection day. Appliances holding refrigerant need a technician's tag before they go out, construction waste from a contractor, roofing, tires, dirt and chemicals are refused, and every household gets one free landfill entry a month with a printed coupon. Electronics go to the recyclers the city lists rather than the curb, and household chemicals wait for the city's periodic collection event.
