Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Carts in the street by 7 a.m., two feet clear

The AmeriWaste cart is the only container serviced, and it goes into the street by 7 a.m. with the wheels against the curb and the front facing the street. Leave two feet of space all round from fences, meters, poles, utility boxes, trees, shrubs, mailboxes and other containers, keep vehicles clear so the truck can manoeuvre, bag loose trash, and keep only garbage inside the cart with the lid closed. Carts are set out no earlier than the night before and returned to the property no later than the morning after collection.

Four extra items, and the excluded material stays off the street

Up to four items mixed or matched from bundles, green waste and heavy trash go out with the cart on the collection day. Bundles stay under five feet long, 18 inches in diameter and 50 pounds, green waste goes in bags no heavier than 50 pounds and no more than four bags or bundles, and heavy trash covers anything too big for a cart, with a refrigerant tag required on a refrigerator or freezer. Televisions, computers, monitors, microwaves, paint, tires, motor oil, pool chemicals and cooking oil must never be put on the street.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Dickinson's curbside system covers the routine clean-out. AmeriWaste, under the water district's contract, collects twice a week from a 96-gallon cart that is the only container serviced, and any four items mixed from bundles, green waste and heavy trash go out with it. Heavy trash means anything too big for the cart, including appliances and furniture, with a refrigerant tag required on a refrigerator or freezer. Bundles stay under five feet, 18 inches and 50 pounds and green waste is bagged under the same weight. Everything hazardous is off the street: televisions, computers, monitors, microwaves, paint, tires, motor oil, pool chemicals and cooking oil are excluded, and the district routes household hazardous waste free of charge to the Stella Roberts Recycling Center in Pearland with a call ahead and proof of a WCID1 account. Cooking oil has its own free station on 45th Street, and the Texas City Biosphere 1 Recycling Center at 3301 Loop 197 North takes used motor oil, paper, cardboard, aluminium, steel, glass and plastics numbered 1 and 2 at no charge. Debris that does not meet the collection requirements needs a special pickup booked with AmeriWaste on 281-585-3200. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Dickinson.

How much does TV removal cost in Dickinson?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Dickinson?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do Dickinson televisions and computers go?

Not to the curb. The district says televisions, computers and monitors will not be picked up by AmeriWaste and must never be placed on the street, and it routes household hazardous waste free of charge to the Stella Roberts Recycling Center at 5800 Magnolia Parkway in Pearland, by calling ahead on 281-489-2795 with a Texas ID and a WCID1 water bill.Official guidance

What can go out beside the Dickinson cart?
