When & how
Book the pickup through the online form, by phone at 469.451.3713 or by email, expect a reply within 24 hours on business days, and put the items out by 7 a.m. on the scheduled day for collection between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Get it ready
Electronic items do not need a bag or label, but they must sit on the front porch where they can be seen from the street rather than at the curb. Keep electronics out of the trash cart, the recycling cart and any bulk pile, and wipe personal data before handover.
Trash goes in the cart, bagged, with the lid closed and no more than 100 pounds per cart, and recyclables stay loose rather than bagged. Carts go to the curb by 7 a.m. on the collection day, no earlier than 8 a.m. the day before and no later than 8 a.m. the day after, within two feet of the street edge with the handles facing the house so the lid opens toward the street and well clear of the mailbox.
Hazardous waste and electronics go on the porch, not the curb
Residents book a from home pickup and are mailed a kit with bags, labels and zip ties. Containers must hold five gallons or less, be sealed and labelled, with only like items together, and everything goes on the front porch visible from the street by 7 a.m. on the collection day, since Republic collects between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Electronic items need no bag or label.

Arrange it

Commercial hazardous waste and electronics, radioactive material, ammunition, explosives, tires, asbestos, PCBs, pharmaceuticals, biological waste and leaking or unidentified containers are refused, and fire extinguishers appear on both the accepted and refused lists so that item should be confirmed.
