A clear count. An exact price.

Count the bags and boxes, not everything inside.

A few simple choices turn a mixed pile into a clear booking. No need to estimate how much of a truck it might fill.

Filled bags and boxes

Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.

Empty cardboard and containers

Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.

Furniture and other larger items

Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

Mattresses and box springs

Accepted with preparation

A mattress is named among the city's bulky waste examples, so it goes out on a bulk day rather than with the weekly cart. The city publishes no separate mattress fee for residents.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Bulky waste collection is part of the residential service that Grapevine contracts from Republic Services and is available to Grapevine residents only. The city publishes no per item charge for bulky waste, and the only published fee on the page is the monthly charge for an additional trash cart.
When & how
Put the mattress behind the curb by 7 a.m. on a bulk day, which is the second, fourth or, when it occurs, fifth Wednesday of the month, or the same Tuesdays for households whose trash days are Monday and Thursday. For a Monday and Thursday trash route the Tuesday date is unsettled between the city's own pages, because the solid waste page lists the second, fourth and fifth Tuesdays while the bulk information sheet lists the first and third Tuesdays, so confirm the Tuesday date with the city before setting anything out.
Get it ready
Keep the piece behind the curb rather than in the street, away from fences, trees, mailboxes and water meters so nothing is blocked, and keep hazardous waste, batteries and other refused material out of the pile. Bagged trash that will not fit the cart also goes out on the same bulk day.

Couches, sofas and household furniture

Accepted with preparation

Furniture is named on the city's bulky waste list and rides the bulk day collection, while bagged household trash that will not fit the cart goes out on the same day.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Bulky waste collection is included in the residential service provided to Grapevine residents, with no per item charge published. An additional trash cart carries a monthly fee and is available to residents only.
When & how
Set the furniture out by 7 a.m. on a bulk day, which falls on the second, fourth or fifth Wednesday of the month, or the matching Tuesday for Monday and Thursday routes.
Cut carpeting into manageable sections before it goes out, because the city names carpeting among the bulky items, and keep the pile behind the curb and clear of fences, trees, mailboxes and water meters.
Bulk, brush and clean brush information sheet with the bulky waste definition, the examples and the set-out rulesCity solid waste page with the cart programme, the bulk day calendar, set-out times and the additional cart fee

Appliances and white goods

Accepted with preparation

Appliances are on the city's bulky waste list, are taken in the drop-off station's electronics and appliance container, and are accepted at both annual collection events. No fee is published on any of those routes.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Bulky collection, the drop-off station and both annual events accept appliances from Grapevine residents with no published charge. The drop-off station and events are limited to Grapevine residents, and events ask for proof of residency.
When & how
Use a bulk day for curbside collection, the drop-off station container during its weekday hours, or one of the two annual event days, whose dates should be confirmed with Public Works.
Get it ready
Empty the unit and secure the doors before it is set out or dropped off, and ask Public Works at 817.410.3330 about a unit that holds refrigerant, because no city page read in this window publishes a refrigerant preparation rule for appliances.

Televisions, computers and electronics

Accepted with preparation

Electronics are accepted in the drop-off station's electronics and appliance container and at both annual collection events, all for Grapevine residents with no published charge.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. The drop-off recycling station is for Grapevine residents only and publishes no fee for electronics, and both annual events are free to Grapevine residents, with a canned or dry food item requested for the local food charity at each.
When & how
Use the electronics and appliance container at the drop-off station from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, leave items outside near the marked sign when the container is closed or full, or attend one of the annual event days.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data from computers, tablets and phones before handover, and keep batteries, light bulbs and hazardous material out of the electronics container. Household hazardous waste is not accepted at the Recycles Day event and goes to the hazardous waste event or the Fort Worth collection center instead.

Building and project debris

Not on the regular city route

Grapevine publishes no construction drop-off and operates no landfill, so a project load has to be arranged privately rather than through the city.

City cost & eligibility
No city construction route or rate is published. The city states that it does not own or operate a landfill and points residents to regional and state landfill lists, so a remodel load needs a private landfill, transfer station or roll-off container, and the price has to be confirmed with that operator.
When & how
Arrange the disposal privately, using the regional and state landfill lists the city links, and keep the load out of the bulky pile because construction material is not part of the bulky waste service.
Get it ready
Separate construction material from household bulky waste, since the bulky service covers household items rather than project debris, and keep hazardous material such as paint, oil and cleaners out of the load entirely because those go to a hazardous waste collection.

Exercise equipment

Special rules apply

Exercise equipment is not named on any city list, but the bulky definition covers large household items over 50 pounds that are no longer usable, so the machine is confirmed with the hauler before it goes out.

City cost & eligibility
No rate is published for an item the city does not name. Bulky collection itself carries no published per item charge, so call Republic Services or the Public Works Department at 817.410.3330 and confirm that the machine is collected on a bulk day.
When & how
Confirm the item first, then set it out by 7 a.m. on a bulk day, which falls on the second, fourth or fifth Wednesday or Tuesday of the month depending on your route.
Get it ready
Break the machine down as far as it comes apart, remove loose weights and the console, and keep it behind the curb and clear of fences, trees, mailboxes and water meters. Keep batteries and electronic components out of the pile if they are hazardous.

Bulky items, extra bags and brush

Accepted with preparation

Grapevine runs bulky waste two or three times a month and clean brush twice a month, and bagged trash that will not fit the cart is collected on the bulk days.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Bulky waste and clean brush collection are part of the residential service that Grapevine contracts from Republic Services and are available to Grapevine residents only, with no per item charge published. An additional trash cart is available to residents for a monthly fee.
When & how
Bulky waste goes out on the second, fourth and, when it occurs, fifth Wednesday of the month, or the matching Tuesday for Monday and Thursday routes. Clean brush and yard waste run on the first and third Wednesday, or the first and third Tuesday for those routes.
Put brush in large piles behind the curb, keep yard waste in paper bags or reusable containers with no plastic bags and free of trash, and set everything out by 7 a.m. on the designated day. Do not block access with parked vehicles or place items near fences, trees, mailboxes or on top of water meters.

Bulk days fall on the second, fourth and fifth midweek days

The electronics and appliance container is unlocked from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and when it is closed or full those items may be left outside near the marked sign, while the single stream dumpster and the cardboard and paper container are accessible seven days a week.

A Grapevine household with furniture, a mattress, an appliance, carpeting, bagged leaves, black bags of extra trash or other large household items over 50 pounds.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Bulky waste collection is part of the residential service the city contracts from Republic Services and is available to Grapevine residents only. The city publishes no per item charge, and the only published fee is the monthly charge for an additional trash cart.
Arrange it
Set the material behind the curb by 7 a.m. on a bulk day, which is the second, fourth and, when it occurs, fifth Wednesday, or the matching Tuesday for Monday and Thursday routes, and keep it clear of fences, trees, mailboxes and water meters.

The service covers household items rather than construction debris, and hazardous material, batteries and other chemicals cannot go in the pile because they belong at a collection event. Clean brush and yard waste follow a different twice monthly calendar.

Use the drop-off recycling station

A Grapevine household with electronics, an appliance, single stream recyclables, cardboard or paper to drop off.

Cost & conditions
No charge. The station is for Grapevine residents only, and no fee is published for the recyclables, the electronics and appliance container or the cardboard and paper container.
Arrange it
Drive to 851 N Main St, where the station has been temporarily relocated next to the Cross Timbers Winery across Dove Road from the Service Center, and use the electronics and appliance container between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, or leave those items beside the marked sign when it is closed or full.

Only Grapevine residents may use the site, the electronics and appliance container keeps limited weekday hours while the other containers are open daily, and hazardous waste, batteries and refuse are not part of the station's accepted material.

Attend an annual collection event

A Grapevine household with electronics, appliances, batteries, tires, metal, paper shredding, clean packing foam or household hazardous waste.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Both events are free to Grapevine residents with a canned or dry food item requested for the local food charity, and the city states that the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center is also free to Grapevine residents.
Arrange it
Watch for the published dates, complete the online survey the city asks for before attending, and bring proof of residency. Grapevine Recycles Day runs on Saturday October 31, 2026 from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at the Municipal Service Center on Shady Brook Drive, and the hazardous waste event runs on an annual date confirmed with Public Works.

Each event splits its material: Recycles Day refuses household hazardous waste and both events refuse mattresses, medical waste, pharmaceuticals, ammunition, closed cylinders and commercial waste. Dates and weather dependent cancellations should be confirmed with Public Works at 817.410.3330.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self haul in Grapevine runs through the city's own sites. The drop-off recycling station, temporarily relocated to 851 N Main St next to the Cross Timbers Winery, takes household single stream recyclables, cardboard and paper every day and electronics and appliances in a dedicated container from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays, with items left beside the marked sign when the container is closed or full, and it is limited to Grapevine residents with no published fee. Electronics, appliances, batteries, tires, metal, paper shredding, clean packing foam and donations also come to the Municipal Service Center on Shady Brook Drive at the two annual events, and Grapevine Recycles Day has a published 2026 date of Saturday October 31 from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Household chemicals go to the annual household hazardous waste event at the same address, which is free to Grapevine residents with proof of residency and an online survey, or year round to the Environmental Collection Center at 6400 Bridge Street in Fort Worth, which the city says is free to Grapevine residents on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Nothing goes to a city landfill because Grapevine operates none, so construction loads have to be arranged privately. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Bulk junk removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Grapevine.

How much does bulk junk removal cost in Grapevine?

A trash bag is $59 as the first item and $10 additional. A filled household box is $59 as the first item. Add your actual items and quantities to see the combined price before booking. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; any applicable sales tax is shown before payment.

Can you pick up bags of junk today?

Book by 2pm in the pickup address’s local time for same-day pickup. Available dates appear at checkout. Have the booked bags and boxes outside and accessible according to your confirmation. You receive pickup updates and completion photos; the booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time.

Do I count every object inside a bag or box?

No. Count the filled bags or boxes using the matching choice. Books and media go in Filled household box; clothes, bedding and shoes go in Bag of clothes & bedding; packed toys have a Box of toys choice. Empty cardboard is separate, with individual empty boxes and bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Heavy, oversized or unusual contents need a photo review before booking.

Can you pick up a small loose pile of household junk?

Yes. Estimate how many trash bags the small household pile would fill, and bag or box as much as possible. Select furniture and other larger items separately. There is no extra charge just because the pile is loose. Send a photo first if the count or contents are unclear. A household Dumpster Bag choice does not accept construction debris.

Can I book bags, boxes and furniture together?

Yes. Select the bags and boxes, then add each larger item using its own catalog choice. The booking shows one combined price for the selected items. Move everything to an accessible outdoor spot before pickup; indoor carrying and sorting are not included. Keep anything you want to retain apart from the booked items and identify what goes in your photos and notes.

When does a Grapevine mattress go out?

On a bulk collection day, which is the second, fourth and, when it occurs, fifth Wednesday of each month, or the same Tuesdays if your trash and recycling days are Monday and Thursday. Mattresses are named on the bulky waste list, and everything goes behind the curb by 7 a.m.Official guidance

Will the city recycling events take a mattress?

No. Mattresses appear on the refused list for both the household hazardous waste event and Grapevine Recycles Day, so the bulky waste collection is the published route for a mattress rather than an event drop-off.Official guidance

Will Republic take furniture from a Grapevine curb?

Yes, on a bulk collection day. The city's bulk sheet lists furniture along with appliances, carpeting, mattresses, toilets, water heaters, fencing and bagged leaves, and the service is available to Grapevine residents only, with no per item charge published.Official guidance

Can extra bagged trash go out with furniture?

Yes, on a bulk day. Since October 2024 the blue cart is the only container collected on standard trash days, and bagged trash left outside the cart is collected on the bulk days instead, which are the second, fourth and fifth Wednesdays or Tuesdays of the month.Official guidance

Where can a Grapevine appliance go?

Three published routes accept appliances: the bulky waste collection on its monthly bulk days, the electronics and appliance container at the drop-off station on North Main Street, and the two annual collection events. All are limited to Grapevine residents and none publishes a per item charge.Official guidance

Does the city publish a refrigerant rule for refrigerators?

No city page read for this guide publishes a refrigerant removal rule for appliances, so the packet does not invent one. Call the Public Works Department at 817.410.3330 or Republic Services and confirm what preparation a refrigerator, freezer or air conditioner needs before it goes out.Official guidance

Where do Grapevine televisions and computers go?

To the electronics and appliance container at the city drop-off recycling station on North Main Street, which is open from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, or to one of the two annual collection events. Both are limited to Grapevine residents and no fee is published.Official guidance

What happens at Grapevine Recycles Day?

Grapevine Recycles Day runs on Saturday October 31, 2026 from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at the Municipal Service Center on Shady Brook Drive, and it takes electronics, appliances, batteries, metal, tires, cell phones, eyeglasses, ink and toner cartridges, clean packing foam and paper shredding limited to five office boxes or 200 pounds.Official guidance

Where does construction debris go in Grapevine?

The city publishes no construction drop-off and states that it does not own or operate a landfill, referring residents to regional and state landfill lists instead. In practice that means arranging a private landfill, transfer station or roll-off, because the bulky waste service is for household items.Official guidance

Do the city events take building material?

No. The hazardous waste event and Grapevine Recycles Day both list the material they take, and construction debris is not among the accepted items, while commercial or business waste is refused outright at both.Official guidance

Will Grapevine take a treadmill as bulky waste?

Ask first. Bulky waste is defined as large household items over 50 pounds that are no longer usable, and the city's examples name appliances, furniture, carpeting, mattresses and similar items rather than exercise equipment, so the machine is confirmed with the hauler or Public Works before it goes out.Official guidance

What are the Grapevine bulk days?

Bulky waste is collected two or three times a month on the second, fourth and, when it occurs, fifth Wednesday, or on the same Tuesdays for households whose trash and recycling days are Monday and Thursday. Clean brush and yard waste run separately on the first and third Wednesday or Tuesday of the month.Official guidance

What happens to trash that does not fit the cart?

Since October 2024 the blue trash cart is the only container collected on standard trash days, and bagged trash left outside it is not collected then. It goes out on a bulk day instead, which is why extra bags wait for the second, fourth or fifth Wednesday or Tuesday of the month.Official guidance

Who collects trash and bulky waste in Grapevine?

Republic Services collects residential, commercial and industrial solid waste under the city's contract, and the city's Environmental Services staff publish the bulky and brush calendars. Grapevine residents may email the hauler directly for service questions, and the Public Works Department answers at 817.410.3330.Official guidance

How often is bulky waste collected?

Two or three times a month, on the second, fourth and, when it occurs, fifth Wednesday, or the same Tuesdays for households whose trash and recycling days are Monday and Thursday. Clean brush and yard waste run separately on the first and third Wednesday or Tuesday of the month.Official guidance

Where can residents drop off recyclables and electronics?

At the city drop-off recycling station, currently relocated to 851 N Main St next to the Cross Timbers Winery. The single stream dumpster and the cardboard and paper container are open every day, while the electronics and appliance container is open from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the site is for Grapevine residents only.Official guidance

Does Grapevine have its own landfill?

No. The city states that it does not own or operate a landfill and refers residents to regional and state landfill lists, while bulky waste from Grapevine is taken to the Arlington Landfill for disposal. A construction or remodel load therefore has to be arranged privately rather than through the city.Official guidance
