City cost & eligibility

When & how

Empty the unit and secure the doors before it is set out or dropped off, and ask Public Works at 817.410.3330 about a unit that holds refrigerant, because no city page read in this window publishes a refrigerant preparation rule for appliances.
Since October 2024 the blue trash cart is the only container Republic Services collects on standard trash days, and bagged trash left outside it is not collected then. Solid waste and recyclables go to the curb no later than 7 a.m. on the service day and no more than 12 hours in advance.
Bulk days fall on the second, fourth and fifth midweek days
Bulky waste is collected two or three times a month, on the second, fourth and, when it occurs, fifth Wednesday, or on the same Tuesdays for households whose trash and recycling days are Monday and Thursday. Additional bagged trash that will not fit the cart is collected on those days as well.
Bulky items go behind the curb rather than in the street and must be out by 7 a.m. on the collection day. Residents are told not to block access with parked vehicles and not to place items near fences, trees, mailboxes or on top of water meters, and carpeting should be cut into manageable sections.
Electronics and appliances go in the drop-off container, or beside it
The drop-off recycling station on North Main Street is for Grapevine residents only. The electronics and appliance container is unlocked from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and when it is closed or full those items may be left outside near the marked sign, while the single stream dumpster and the cardboard and paper container are accessible seven days a week.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Put it out on a bulk day
A Grapevine household with furniture, a mattress, an appliance, carpeting, bagged leaves, black bags of extra trash or other large household items over 50 pounds.
Cost & conditions
No charge. Bulky waste collection is part of the residential service the city contracts from Republic Services and is available to Grapevine residents only. The city publishes no per item charge, and the only published fee is the monthly charge for an additional trash cart.
Arrange it
Set the material behind the curb by 7 a.m. on a bulk day, which is the second, fourth and, when it occurs, fifth Wednesday, or the matching Tuesday for Monday and Thursday routes, and keep it clear of fences, trees, mailboxes and water meters.
The service covers household items rather than construction debris, and hazardous material, batteries and other chemicals cannot go in the pile because they belong at a collection event. Clean brush and yard waste follow a different twice monthly calendar.

Drive to 851 N Main St, where the station has been temporarily relocated next to the Cross Timbers Winery across Dove Road from the Service Center, and use the electronics and appliance container between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, or leave those items beside the marked sign when it is closed or full.
Only Grapevine residents may use the site, the electronics and appliance container keeps limited weekday hours while the other containers are open daily, and hazardous waste, batteries and refuse are not part of the station's accepted material.

No charge. Both events are free to Grapevine residents with a canned or dry food item requested for the local food charity, and the city states that the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center is also free to Grapevine residents.
Arrange it
Watch for the published dates, complete the online survey the city asks for before attending, and bring proof of residency. Grapevine Recycles Day runs on Saturday October 31, 2026 from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at the Municipal Service Center on Shady Brook Drive, and the hazardous waste event runs on an annual date confirmed with Public Works.
Each event splits its material: Recycles Day refuses household hazardous waste and both events refuse mattresses, medical waste, pharmaceuticals, ammunition, closed cylinders and commercial waste. Dates and weather dependent cancellations should be confirmed with Public Works at 817.410.3330.
