The local disposal guide
Keller contracts residential collection to Community Waste Disposal, and the residential rate already includes garbage, recycling, bulk and door-side household hazardous and electronic waste collection. Garbage runs twice a week on either a Monday and Thursday or a Tuesday and Friday route, yard waste runs twice a week with the first collection day going to a compost facility and the second to the landfill, and bulk waste rides the second service day with an allowance of two cubic yards. The accepted bulky list names old furniture, refrigerators with written confirmation that the CFCs were removed by a certified technician, water tanks, hot water heaters, washing machines and other large appliances, while construction debris defined as waste building materials from construction, remodeling, repair or demolition is excluded and anything larger becomes a special haul priced by the cubic yard. Household chemicals and electronics are collected door side once a month on a call-in basis with a collection kit, and recycling takes paper, steel and aluminium cans and non-ferrous containers in a CWD cart or two 18-gallon bins.
