A few pieces, one pickup

Your room has changed. The old furniture can go.

The desk you no longer use. The dresser that doesn’t fit the new layout. The chairs left over after a move. Choose the pieces you’re done with and give them a pickup day, without arranging a quote visit.

Choose each piece

A table and four chairs are five items.

You don’t need to guess how much space your furniture fills in a truck. Match each piece to the catalog, then add its quantity. Your total updates as you go.

Tables and chairs

Choose the table, then add each chair separately. Coffee tables, side tables and dining tables have their own options. A large or substantially heavy table has a different choice.

Dressers and mirrors

Match the dresser’s overall size. Add a separate dresser mirror as its own item if it is leaving too. Empty drawers and keep the belongings you want before moving the dresser outside.

Desks and bookshelves

Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

Count the furniture you want removed and empty drawers, shelves and cabinets. Add any other items to the booking instead of leaving an unlisted pile beside the furniture.

  3. Show exactly what goes.

Furniture, toys and household bulk

Accepted with preparation

Furniture and household bulky items go out during the address's every other month brush and bulk week, at no cost beyond the monthly residential rate.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Included in the monthly residential rate for a City of Lancaster address. The city publishes no separate bulky item fee for the every other month collection, and a load over twelve cubic yards has to be removed by the household or taken to the drop-off instead.
When & how
Households north of Pleasant Run Road are serviced in odd months and households south of it in even months, and the material has to be set out and ready by 7 a.m. on the Monday of the service week.
Get it ready
Tag toys and yard tools as bulk items, keep furniture in the bulk pile rather than the carts, and box any loose household debris in a container no larger than two feet by two feet by four feet and no heavier than fifty pounds. Bulk runs every other month, on your side of Pleasant Run Road

Brush and bulk are collected every other month rather than every week. Households north of Pleasant Run Road are serviced in odd months and households south of it in even months, and the material has to be set out and ready by 7 a.m. on the Monday of the service week. A household that cannot wait can drop up to twelve cubic yards at the hauler's transfer station instead, with proof of residency.

Bag the trash, keep the recycling loose

Trash goes out bagged inside the grey 95 gallon cart, and recyclables go out empty, clean, dry and loose inside the blue 95 gallon cart, because bagged recyclables are refused. Carts stay at least three feet apart from each other and from obstacles such as mailboxes, cars, fences, gas meters and ditches, sit where the driveway meets the street with the wheels toward the residence, and have their lids closed.

Arrange it
Put the material out and ready by 7 a.m. on the Monday of the address's service week, which is an odd month north of Pleasant Run Road and an even month south of it.

Every other month only, and the acceptable list is specific: appliances, furniture, toys and yard tools tagged as bulk items, bundled carpet in four foot lengths, fence panels up to four by six feet, bagged leaves and loose brush. Free drop-off at the hauler transfer station

A household that missed its month or has a load that does not fit the curbside pile.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Up to twelve cubic yards of bulky waste and brush at no additional cost for a Lancaster resident with proof of residency such as a current water bill. Charges apply to volumes above twelve cubic yards.
Arrange it
Drive the load to 2010 California Crossing in Dallas with the water bill, and weigh in at the site. The hauler's customer service runs weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the city answers at 972-218-1300.

Twelve cubic yards free, with charges above that. The same prohibited items apply, so chemicals, tires, batteries and propane still belong at the Trash Off or X-treme Green events.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Lancaster households split their disposal between the curbside programme and the city's own events. Trash and recycling are weekly in the grey and blue carts, brush and bulk are every other month by side of Pleasant Run Road, and a load that cannot wait can go free to the hauler's transfer station on California Crossing inside a twelve cubic yard allowance. Furniture, appliances, bundled carpet, fence panels, bagged leaves and brush are the accepted bulk categories, while chemicals, tires, batteries, propane and construction debris are refused, and a refrigerator or freezer has to be tagged certifying removal of refrigerants first. The free Trash Off events in the odd months and the two X-treme Green events are where electronics, household chemicals, automotive tires, scrap metal and shredding go, and the Dallas County chemical centre on Plano Road covers the months between events for a household with chemicals to drop. Up to twelve cubic yards of bulky waste and brush from a Lancaster household with proof of residency such as a current water bill, using the same acceptable item categories as the curbside bulk collection.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Furniture removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Lancaster.

How much does furniture removal cost in Lancaster?

Choose the type and size of each piece to see its price. For example, a medium dresser is $79 as the first item or $29 as an additional item. Your total starts with the highest first-item price in your selection, then uses the additional-item price for every other item. Review the complete total and any applicable tax before payment.

Can I get same-day furniture pickup in Lancaster?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup and choose from the dates shown at checkout. Arrange to have the furniture outside according to your confirmation. You receive a text when your hauler is on the way and photos after collection.

Will you remove furniture from inside my apartment?

Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange indoor carrying, including any interior stairs or elevator trip. We load and take away the furniture from an accessible outdoor location. Check your building’s rules and plan the route out before booking.

Can you take several different furniture items in one pickup?

Yes. Add each piece and its quantity to one booking. A dining table and four chairs are five items; a separate mirror is not included with a dresser. You can mix eligible items from different rooms and review their combined total before paying.

Do I need to take furniture apart before pickup?

You arrange any disassembly needed to move the furniture out of your home and into an accessible outdoor pickup spot. Dropcurb does not provide indoor disassembly or carrying. If you are unsure which catalog choice matches a dismantled or unusual piece, send a photo and ask before booking.
