The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

No Tomball page names an electronics route. The city does not provide hazardous waste collection and points residents to Harris County Household Hazardous Waste, so any device has to be confirmed there first.
City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no electronics drop-off, fee or accepted list, and it makes no claim that the county programme takes televisions or computers. Call the city on 281-290-1450 or check Harris County Household Hazardous Waste and confirm the accepted devices, the location and any charge before travelling.
When & how
Confirm the route with the city or Harris County first, and keep electronics out of the garbage cart, the recycling cart and the bulk pile until then.
Get it ready
Erase personal data where the device still powers on, keep batteries out of the carts, and never put a screen or computer into the bulk pile because the accepted bulk list does not include electronics.
Tomball's ordinance prohibits putting solid waste or recycling out before 5 p.m. the day before the service day, and everything has to be at the curb before 7 a.m. on the collection day. Garbage in a cart must be bagged and tied with the lid closed, carts face with the handles toward the house, bags sit at the curb, carts stay four feet from the mailbox, and no extra bags may be left beside the cart because the lid has to close.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
A Tomball household with paint, chemicals, batteries or another hazardous item the city will not collect.

Nothing hazardous goes in the garbage cart, the recycling cart or the bulk pile, and no Tomball page claims that the county takes a specific device, so electronics still need confirmation.
Tomball is a curbside city with one contractor. Frontier Waste Solutions collects garbage twice a week in two sections, recycling once a week in four sections, and bulk and brush once a week on the second collection day with a twelve-item, two cubic yard limit. One mattress is allowed per bulk day, appliances need a licensed technician's Freon removal statement attached to the front of the unit, and construction, remodel, DIY and contract material, tires, engine parts and household trash are refused on that route. Anything past two cubic yards is a paid Frontier special collection at the published disposal fee plus an hourly vehicle and crew rate, and construction or demolition material needs a special collection or a roll-off container at the published delivery, daily rent, hauling and per-ton rates. Household hazardous waste is outside the city service altogether and is referred to Harris County Household Hazardous Waste, and no Tomball page publishes an electronics drop-off, so both need a call to the city at 281-290-1450 before anything is loaded.
