Appliances are bulk waste priced in the published bands, but air conditioners are refused and a refrigerator needs documented professional refrigerant and compressor removal.
City cost & eligibility
From $25 per appliance on the published bulk and heavy schedule, which prices a medium item such as a microwave or a television under fifty pounds at one rate and a large item such as a washing machine or dryer higher. A refrigerator is only collected when a licensed technician has properly removed the refrigerant and compressor, with a copy of the technician certificate provided and kept on file, and air conditioners are not accepted at all.
When & how
Set the appliance out the weekend before the monthly bulk collection day for the quadrant, after the refrigerant and compressor work is documented where required.
Get it ready
Empty the unit and have the licensed technician documentation ready for a refrigerator, because the City keeps the certificate on file and will not collect the unit without it. Keep the appliance clear of meters, cable boxes and overhead lines, and keep air conditioners out of the pile.
Bulk collection happens once a month for paying customers inside the city limits. Quadrant one collects in the first week of the month, quadrant two in the second, quadrant three in the third and quadrant four in the fourth, with each quadrant's street list published, and items go to the curb the weekend before the collection day.
Bulk items go near the curb and clear of low power lines, trees, water meters, gas meters, cable boxes and mailboxes so the crew can reach them without damage. The same clearance applies to electronics, appliances and construction material on the monthly collection.
A refrigerator is collected only when a licensed technician has properly removed the refrigerant and compressor, and the resident provides a copy of the certificate, which the City keeps on file. Refrigerators with the compressor still connected and all air conditioners are refused.
Tires, batteries, hazardous chemicals, paint, motor oil, oil filters and liquids of any kind are not part of Weatherford collection, and air conditioners are refused with the bulk pile. Household hazardous material moves through a voucher bought at the City Hall customer service desk under the City's agreement with Fort Worth.

From $15 per bulk or heavy item on the published schedule, which prices small, medium and large items in three bands and charges construction material by the cubic yard, with the rates effective October 1, 2025. Bulk collection is provided once a month for paying customers inside the city limits, and the published bands price the items taken in that collection.
Arrange it
Check the quadrant schedule, put the material out the weekend before the collection day, and confirm the item band with the Sanitation Division at 817-598-4145. For electronics in particular, a resident with a current utility account can instead call Utility Billing on 817.598.4225 or the Solid Waste and Recycling Department on 817.598.4154 to arrange a curbside pickup.

Cost & conditions
$130 for for the household hazardous waste voucher purchased at the City Hall customer service desk, a direct pass-through fee under the City's agreement with the City of Fort Worth. The voucher is the published route for the hazardous material Weatherford's own collection excludes, and the fee passes through to Fort Worth.
Arrange it
Buy the voucher at City Hall, 303 Palo Pinto Street, then use the Fort Worth facility under that agreement and confirm its current hours and accepted items.
The route requires a purchased voucher, and nothing hazardous goes out with the trash, the bulk pile or the brush pile.

Yes. Dropcurb pickup is separate from buying or installing a replacement, so you can book removal on its own.
