The annual landfill voucher is the published route for a self hauled load, but it is limited to one per household a year and to cars, SUVs, pickups up to one ton and hand unloaded trailers, so confirm the current position with the district at 385-468-6325 before a couch is moved.
When & how
Ask the district at 385-468-6325 whether furniture collection has resumed, and otherwise request the annual digital landfill voucher and take the couch to the landfill named in that form inside the eligible vehicle limits with the load securely covered.

Keep the furniture out of the garbage and recycling cans, tie or cover the load because Utah code requires every load to be securely covered, and keep mattresses, tires and freon containing units out of the same voucher load because the voucher does not cover them.
Millcreek's own public works department looks after roads, stormwater, permits and inspections, and its utility directory sends solid waste to Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District on 385-468-6325. The district collects garbage and recycling weekly and tells residents to set cans out the night before because there are no return trips, with collection operations running Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Basic residential service also carries the seasonal container reservation programme for large containers during approved cleanup periods, one annual landfill voucher per household, container repair or replacement, the fall leaf programme, glass drop-off locations, curbside Christmas tree collection and moving box collection.
The district's specialty curbside collection is residential only and works as a base pickup rate plus a charge for each item selected. The base rate depends on the address, with a Valley in-district rate, a higher Canyon Communities rate and the highest out-of-district Valley rate. On top of that, a mattress or box spring is charged per piece and must be bagged before pickup, an appliance is charged at one rate when it contains freon and a lower rate when it does not, and tires are charged by whether the rim is still attached. Furniture is the notable gap: the district states that furniture is not accepted through this service while requirements and costs are reviewed.

Every household in the district may request one digital landfill voucher a year, valid with a car, SUV, pickup up to one ton or a hand unloaded trailer, with trailers hauled by one ton or larger trucks pay the standard fee instead. Every load has to be securely covered as Utah code requires, and the voucher cannot be used for mattresses, tires or freon containing units, which is why those items go through the priced specialty service. The city adds free glass drop-off at park sites including Scott Ave. Park at 3475 South 800 East in Millcreek, with bottles and jars only, empty and with lids or corks removed, and nothing left on the ground; ceramics, windshields, Pyrex, light bulbs, windows, mirrors, bags, boxes and six pack cartons are refused.
