Keep the carts within the rules

If a cart is filled so the lid will not close, the City can swap it for a larger one or deliver an extra cart, with charges and terms applied. Putting unapproved or prohibited materials in a cart can lead to the carts being removed and service being ended in whole or in part.

Self haul to the transfer station

Residents with furniture, mattresses, appliances, tires, electronics or a mixed load to unload in one trip.

Cost & conditions
Ogden City publishes a minimum charge for 800 pounds or less at the transfer station it names, and Weber County publishes a separate minimum fee and per item rates. Confirm the current amount with the gate you plan to use.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Appliance removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Ogden.

How much does appliance removal cost in Ogden?

A full-size household refrigerator is $109 as a single item. A washing machine is $109, and a dryer is $109. Other appliances have their own catalog prices. Choose each item to see your exact total before booking; disposal and recycling costs are included in the item price.

Can I get same-day appliance pickup in Ogden?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Your pickup is scheduled for a day rather than an exact arrival appointment, and we text you before arrival. Have the appliance disconnected and ready outside by your pickup readiness time.

Can you take a washing machine and dryer in one pickup?

Yes. Add one Washing machine and one Dryer so both units are included in the price. They are separate items, even when you bought them as a set. If yours is a single combined unit or the machines still need to be unstacked, contact us before booking to confirm the scope.

Will you disconnect my appliance or carry it out?

Dropcurb picks up appliances that are already disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange uninstallation, utility disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Use a qualified professional for gas, hardwired or plumbing connections when needed. We handle loading and haul-away from the outdoor pickup spot.

Can I book if the delivery company did not take my old appliance?

Yes. Dropcurb pickup is separate from buying or installing a replacement, so you can book removal on its own. Select the old appliance, choose a pickup day and arrange for it to be disconnected and accessible outside. If your new delivery is still ahead, confirm the retailer’s haul-away arrangements before booking a separate pickup.

Do I need to remove Freon before dropping off a refrigerator?

The operator charges an added amount when Freon has not been removed from a refrigerator, on top of the base disposal fee and the white goods rate. Have the Freon removed first to avoid that extra charge.Official guidance

How often is recycling collected in Ogden?

Recycling is picked up every other week on the same day as the normal garbage pickup. Garbage itself continues to be collected every week on your normal collection day.Official guidance

What happens if the wrong items go in the recycling cart?

Ogden City runs a Three Strike Program that allows the City to remove a recycling cart from a property for one year when non-recyclable items are found in the cart three times.Official guidance

What does it cost to drop off waste in Ogden?

Ogden City publishes a minimum charge for 800 pounds or less at the transfer station it names, with residential cardboard and glass accepted free, and proof of Ogden residency is needed at the window for the resident discount. Weber County publishes a separate rate sheet with its own minimum fee and per item charges for mattresses, tires, white goods and televisions.Official guidance
