When & how
Set the pile at the curb by 6 a.m. on the household's weekly collection day, and expect it on the same day as the trash, recycling, yard waste and brush because the town sends a separate truck for each stream.
Get it ready
Keep the pile inside eight feet by four feet by four feet, and keep appliances, televisions, computers and contractor material out of it. Carpet counts as bulk, and toilets, sinks and tubs are named as acceptable bulk items.
Furniture is named in the town bulk list, so a couch, a chair or a table leaves in the weekly bulk pile on the regular collection day.

Containers come back in by 7 p.m. on the collection day, and the town sends five separate trucks, one for each stream.

Will you carry my couch out of my apartment?+
Dropcurb starts outside. Arrange for the sofa to be moved through the apartment and down interior stairs before pickup. We load and haul it away from an accessible outdoor spot. Arrange any dismantling needed to get it outside beforehand.
