Every residence may put out one bulk pile each week on its regular collection day, as long as the pile stays inside the town's size limit and contains household bulk waste only. Appliances, electronics and anything a contractor generated are refused.
A mattress is not named in the town bulk list, so the town route has to be confirmed, and the county transfer station prices a mattress and box spring as a large item.
The handoff matters
Trash, recycling, yard waste, brush and the bulk pile all go out by 6 a.m. on the household's weekly collection day and no earlier than 6 p.m. the evening before, at the curb line or edge of pavement where the crews can reach them, out of the sidewalk and the traffic right of way. Containers come back in by 7 p.m. on the collection day, and the town sends five separate trucks, one for each stream.

Appliances and electronics are refused, contractor generated waste is refused, and containers have to be 55 gallons or less and under 40 pounds with handles and tight lids.

Before you book
Mattress removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Vienna.
The price depends on the mattress size you choose. A queen mattress is $99 as the first item and $30 as an additional item. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Add any box spring or frame separately, then review your total and any applicable tax before payment.
Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates shown at checkout. Have the mattress outside and accessible according to your confirmation. Your booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time, and we text you when your hauler is on the way.
The mattress price covers the mattress only. Add your box spring, bed frame or adjustable base separately if those are going too. Choose the size and type that match each item. The combined price appears before booking.
Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange to move the mattress out of your apartment and down interior stairs before pickup. We load it and take it away from an accessible outdoor spot. Check your building’s access rules before arranging the move outside.
You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed. Dropcurb books a pickup day, not the retailer’s delivery window. Contact us before booking if access is limited to a short time.
