Batteries have to be taped at the ends, bagged with rechargeable and non rechargeable kinds separated, and set on top of the closed recycling cart on collection day, and vehicle and marine batteries are not accepted. Used motor oil and cooking oil are limited to three gallons per collection for each type, in sealed clear jugs labeled with the name and address, and fluorescent tubes and bulbs are limited to two per collection and ten per year.
Apartment and condominium customers get the same small electronics and small appliance service, but the request has to be made by phone or through the form by the bill payer on record, and Recology asks that items not be set next to the shared carts or containers.
