Schedule the curbside pickup with Recology at 206.767.3322, take the set to the Recology Store Burien on a Tuesday through Sunday, or use an E-Cycle Washington site for a computer, laptop or television.
Get it ready
Bag the item and set it on or beside the recycling cart rather than inside it, take out any battery that comes out and send that battery down the battery route instead, and call rather than setting an item beside the shared carts if the address is an apartment or condominium.
Recology takes small appliances smaller than two feet by two feet by two feet and under thirty five pounds, and small electronics two feet by two feet by two feet or smaller and under sixty pounds, styrofoam blocks up to thirty two gallons per drop off, and clean dry textiles on request. Batteries have to be taped at the ends, bagged with rechargeable and non rechargeable kinds separated, and set on top of the closed recycling cart on collection day, and vehicle and marine batteries are not accepted. Used motor oil and cooking oil are limited to three gallons per collection for each type, in sealed clear jugs labeled with the name and address, and fluorescent tubes and bulbs are limited to two per collection and ten per year.
Apartment and condominium customers get the same small electronics and small appliance service, but the request has to be made by phone or through the form by the bill payer on record, and Recology asks that items not be set next to the shared carts or containers.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
Apartments and condominiums ask the bill payer to arrange it

Service for an apartment or condominium address has to be requested by the bill payer on record, and Recology asks that items not be set next to the shared carts or containers, so the account holder arranges the collection and the arrangement and any charge are confirmed with Recology at 206.767.3322.
Arrange it
Ask the property manager or the account holder to request the collection from Recology, then follow the placement instructions the hauler gives for that property.
A tenant cannot schedule the pickup on someone else's account, items left beside shared carts may not be collected, and the free annual allowance belongs to the account rather than to an individual unit.

What cannot go in a Burien garbage cart?+
