To the City's household hazardous waste facility at 16454 Orange Way, open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. It takes paint and thinners, motor oil and filters, batteries, antifreeze, garden chemicals, pool and hobby supplies, fluorescent bulbs, used cooking oil, mercury thermostats and pharmaceuticals, and each visit is limited to 15 gallons or 125 pounds with no container over five gallons.Official guidance

The Reuse Center at the household hazardous waste facility sorts usable products that residents bring in and offers them to City of Fontana residents at no charge, including automotive fluids, fertilizers, household cleaners and polishes, pesticides, pool chemicals and water-based paints.
