Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions, computers and electronics

Accepted with preparation

Lodi has barred e-waste from the trash since February 2006, and both large item programs refuse cathode ray tubes. The published routes are the annual Waste Management e-waste collection events at the Lodi transfer station and the county consolidation facility in Stockton.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. The annual household hazardous waste and e-waste drop off events are free to Lodi residents, and most household hazardous waste items are also accepted at the San Joaquin County consolidation facility in Stockton, which is free to county residents with a limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds per trip.
When & how
The e-waste events are held each year at the Waste Management transfer station at 1333 E Turner Road, and the Stockton consolidation facility at 7850 South R.A. Bridgeford Street is open Thursday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Get it ready
Keep televisions, monitors, computers, printers, phones, stereos and cords out of all three carts and out of both annual cleanup programs, because the trash ban has been in place since February 9, 2006 and cathode ray tubes are a stated refusal. Wipe personal data before handover.

E-waste and household chemicals never go in a cart

Televisions, computers, printers, phones, stereos and electrical cords have been barred from the trash since February 9, 2006, and household hazardous waste such as paint, solvents, batteries, used oil, antifreeze and pesticides is illegal to put in the trash, down storm drains or on the ground. Both large item programs refuse cathode ray tubes, so the routes are the annual e-waste event, the annual household hazardous waste event and the county consolidation facility in Stockton.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Lodi's published self haul options are event based. Waste Management's transfer station on East Turner Road hosts the annual e-waste collection events and the annual household hazardous waste event, and it is also where the dollar dump day load goes, up to two cubic yards for a dollar with the voucher the city mails out before the March 15 to April 15 window. For household chemicals the standing option is the county consolidation facility at 7850 South R.A. Bridgeford Street in Stockton, open Thursday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a 15 gallon or 125 pound trip limit. Everything else the city refuses at its programs, including dirt, concrete, tires on the dump day, cathode ray tubes and cooling appliances that still hold CFCs, has to be arranged with a private hauler or a site that accepts it, and the city's solid waste desk at (209) 333-6706 answers those questions. Waste Management transfer station that hosts the Lodi special collection programs

Waste Management Lodi Transfer Station

1333 E Turner Road, Lodi, CA 95240

The city's published programs all stage here: the annual e-waste collection events, the annual household hazardous waste event and the dollar dump day loads of up to two cubic yards.

The city publishes this address for its own event programs rather than as a standing public drop off, and no city page lists general self haul hours or a gate price, so treat anything outside an announced event as unconfirmed and call Waste Management at (209) 369-8274 first.

Event based; the city announces the household hazardous waste, e-waste and dollar dump day dates, and the transfer station's own hours are not published by the city.

The only published charge at this site inside a city program is the dollar dump day load, which costs a dollar with the mailed voucher for up to two cubic yards. Anything else has to be quoted by Waste Management at (209) 369-8274.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Lodi.

How much does TV removal cost in Lodi?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Lodi?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do Lodi televisions and computers go?

To an e-waste collection rather than the trash, which has been off limits since February 9, 2006. Waste Management holds free e-waste events each year at the Lodi transfer station on East Turner Road, and most household hazardous waste items are also taken at the county consolidation facility in Stockton, Thursday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a 15 gallon or 125 pound trip limit.Official guidance

What is refused in Lodi's cleanup programs?

Dirt, concrete, liquids, toxic or hazardous material, cathode ray tubes and large heavy metals such as auto bodies and engines are refused at the curbside cleanup. The dollar dump day refuses those plus commercial waste and tires, and both programs refuse refrigerators and air conditioners that still contain CFCs.Official guidance

Where do old televisions and computers go?

Not in the trash, which has been off limits for e-waste since February 9, 2006, and not in either large item program, which both refuse cathode ray tubes. Waste Management holds free e-waste events each year at the Lodi transfer station, and most household hazardous waste items are also taken at the county consolidation facility in Stockton on Thursday through Sunday.Official guidance
