The local disposal guide
Mountain View collects through an exclusive franchise agreement with Recology, and the clean up program is appointment based rather than a set bulky day. A resident can book two cleanups a calendar year at no charge, each covering a pile no bigger than four feet high by four feet wide by eight feet long plus up to three bulky goods, and the pile may include appliances, furniture, mattresses, electronics, yard trimmings and even light construction material as long as it is bagged, boxed or bundled under the weight limit. Nothing goes out before the appointment, appliances and furniture ride a separate truck, and the exchange option is a free voucher to self haul the same items to the SMaRT Station in Sunnyvale.
