Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise equipment is not named in the clean-up program's item lists, and a treadmill or weight machine can exceed the 200 pound per item limit, so the machine has to be confirmed with the hauler before it goes out.
City cost & eligibility
A bulky item is collected at no additional charge on a scheduled clean-up day if it fits the two item and 60 to 200 pound limits, so confirm whether the machine qualifies and what an extra clean-up outside the scheduled days would cost.

The bulky program runs on scheduled clean-up days, not on request
San Ramon does not book bulky pickups on demand. Every single-family address gets three neighborhood clean-up days a year, listed by address on the hauler's schedule, and each set out takes up to 3 cubic yards of material plus two large bulky items such as appliances, mattresses and furniture, with four car or light truck tires allowed if the rims are separated. Items go within 3 feet of the curb by 5:30 a.m. on the scheduled day and no more than 24 hours in advance, and two different vehicles collect what is put out. Volume beyond the limit and an extra clean-up outside the scheduled days are both charged separately.

$307.57 for for an additional bulky pickup outside the neighborhood clean-up days, covering 3 cubic yards or 21 to 32 gallon bags. Single-family residential accounts under the hauler's 2026 rate schedule effective January 1, 2026, with material beyond 3 cubic yards charged separately and a return trip charged as its own service. Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
