Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Televisions, computers and electronics

Accepted with preparation

Electronic waste is anything with a circuit board or a battery, it cannot go in a cart, and the hauler collects and recycles it.

City cost & eligibility
The hauler collects and recycles electronic waste and publishes no separate price, while a refrigerator or another Freon unit is described as a charged collection, so confirm with CR&R at (714) 372-8272 whether the pickup counts inside the four free bulky collections. The county alternative is free to Orange County residents, and televisions, computers and phones are accepted at the collection centers.
When & how
Call CR&R at (714) 372-8272 to arrange the collection, or take televisions, computers and phones to the Irvine county collection center Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Get it ready
Keep electronic waste out of all three carts because that is illegal, erase personal data from a computer, phone or drive before it leaves your hands, and route loose batteries to a hazardous waste event or center instead of a cart.

Hazardous waste, batteries and electronics stay out of the carts

Household hazardous waste is illegal in any CR&R container, and that includes batteries of all types and sizes. Electronic waste is anything with a circuit board or a battery and is also illegal in the carts, construction material is not a bulky item, and a refrigerator or another Freon unit needs its own charged collection.

City of Tustin with CR&R Incorporated

Arrange the special collection for electronic waste or a Freon unit

A household with a television, computer, monitor, corded device or a refrigerator or other appliance holding Freon.

Cost & conditions
The city describes the Freon appliance collection as charged without publishing an amount, and electronic waste is collected by the same hauler with no separate price published, so confirm the terms and whether the pickup counts inside the four free bulky collections at (714) 372-8272.
Arrange it
Call CR&R at (714) 372-8272 to arrange the collection and confirm how the device or unit is prepared before it goes out.

Electronic waste is illegal in the carts and a Freon unit cannot ride a routine bulky pile, so both need their own arranged collection.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Tustin keeps almost everything on the curbside route first. Three carts are collected every week, and a single family household gets four bulky item collections a calendar year with up to four items in each at no additional cost, covering mattresses, box springs, sofas, chairs, desks, patio furniture, tables, appliances, tires and swing sets. Anything outside that route has a destination: a refrigerator and other Freon units are collected by CR&R on a charged special collection, household hazardous waste and batteries are collected at two free CR&R events a year or at one of Orange County's four year-round centers, and construction and demolition material runs through the city's Waste Reduction and Recycling Plan with at least 65 per cent diversion, a temporary CR&R container, or a self-haul load at Olinda Alpha Landfill in Brea or Prima Deshecha Landfill in San Juan Capistrano, where public loads are charged by vehicle size or weight and must be covered. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Tustin.

How much does TV removal cost in Tustin?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Tustin?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Can a television go in the Tustin carts?

No. Electronic waste is anything with a circuit board or battery, and it is illegal to put it in any automated cart. CR&R collects and recycles these items, with scheduling at (714) 372-8272, and the county collection centers take televisions, computers and phones free from Orange County residents.Official guidance

Where can Tustin residents take paint, batteries and other hazardous waste?

Household hazardous waste is illegal in any CR&R container, and that includes batteries of all types and sizes. CR&R hosts two free collection events a year for Tustin residents, generally in May and November, with the next one on November 14, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Orange County's four year-round collection centers also take hazardous waste from county residents.Official guidance
