Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

No published rate covers an exercise machine in Boulder. Because the city does not haul waste, the only pricing path is the hauler on the account or the hard-to-recycle site's staff, so call before setting anything out or loading the car.

Get it ready
Take the machine down as far as it will come apart and keep the loose weights with it. A metal frame is scrap metal only if it is at least half metal by weight and contains no refrigerant, so a machine with a large plastic housing or an internal battery may be refused.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Cost & conditions
The city states that it does not determine or control hauler rates, so the large item charge comes from the hauler on the account. Ask for the price and the item rules before booking a collection.
Arrange it
Call the hauler on the account and ask how it handles a large item, then set the piece out only for the date the hauler gives you.
Not every hauler offers the same large item service, and the city does not run a municipal pickup of its own. Anything usable should go to the reuse center first, and a mattress, appliance or electronic device has a cheaper documented drop off route at the hard-to-recycle site.

Dropcurb pickup starts outside. Arrange indoor carrying, stairs and any dismantling needed to get your equipment out before pickup. Check the moving instructions for your exact model and arrange suitable help. We load and haul away the equipment from an accessible outdoor spot.
Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+

What does the hard-to-recycle site take?+
The Eco-Cycle site at 6400 Arapahoe Road takes scrap metal that is at least half metal and free of refrigerant, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers, mattresses, box springs and toppers, electronics from computers and phones to televisions and printers, concrete, ceramics, toilets, sinks and urinals, bikes and bicycle tires, film plastics, books, clothing, glassware, solar panels, smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. Where does yard waste and untreated wood go?+
To the Boulder County and City of Boulder yard waste and wood waste drop off center at Western Disposal, 2051 63rd St., open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed Sunday. What does my apartment building have to provide?+
The Universal Zero Waste Ordinance requires property owners to provide adequate compost, recycling and trash collection to tenants, and the city offers multi-family complexes free signs, installation and education programs.
