The permit and the scale come before everything else
Every vehicle, residential or commercial, needs a Holly Hill disposal permit displayed to enter, and the permit costs 25 dollars for the year running July 1 to June 30. Buy it online or at the DPW counter in Town Hall on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. by credit card or check, because cash is not accepted. Only waste generated in Greenwich is allowed, and a company hauling on your behalf needs a signed verification of owner form for each load.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

From $4.75 per 100 pounds or portion thereof for construction and demolition debris, yard waste and logs and scrap metal, with resident cars at no charge for those categories, freon items at 16 dollars each, tires at 2 or 4 dollars each and electronics, bulbs, batteries, oil, antifreeze and LPG tanks at no charge. Town of Greenwich residents with a valid 25 dollar annual Holly Hill permit displayed in the vehicle, with only Greenwich-generated waste accepted and cargo vehicles weighed.
Arrange it
Buy the permit first, then use the facility Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon and follow the scale house directions.
A permit is required for every vehicle, outside waste is refused, roll-off and hook-type vehicles carrying dumpsters cannot use the facility unless a licensed Greenwich hauler runs them as a satellite vehicle, and the trash and bulky load rates are confirmed at the scale because the schedule does not carry a furniture or mattress line.
