The local disposal guide
Lake Worth Beach collects its own garbage, yard waste, recycling and bulk material. Garbage runs twice a week in the city's black cart, recycling once a week in a blue bin and a yellow bin, and yard waste on its own day with the green cart plus one pile of four cubic yards. Bulk waste, which the city names as furniture, mattresses, appliances and box springs, comes once a month on a scheduled day and is limited to four cubic yards, with construction debris, tires, wood, metal and hazardous material refused. Chemicals, batteries, paint and certain electronics never belong in a cart and go to the county authority's Home Chemical and Recycling Center instead.
