City cost & eligibility
The City publishes no separate appliance rate and the pickup is part of the franchised weekly bulk service, so confirm the item, the collection day and any amount with Waste Management on 561-471-6110. An appliance taken to a Solid Waste Authority facility instead is charged by weight under the published tipping fee schedule.

Arrange it
Call Waste Management to confirm the pickup days for the address, then follow the City set out rules: nothing before noon the day before, everything curbside by 7:00 a.m. on the collection day, containers back in the same day.
The curbside program refuses paint, pesticides, pool chemicals, engine oil, tires, auto parts, construction and demolition debris, and medical or electronic waste, all of which go to the Solid Waste Authority instead.

Garbage, trash, construction and demolition debris, large vegetation, whole and oversized tires, white goods such as appliances, trailers, special waste classes and whole animals, along with the concrete, block, brick, tile, steel, rebar, roofing material, construction lumber, trusses, pallets, dirt, fill, sod and stumps that the transfer stations and renewable energy facilities refuse.
Mixed loads are charged at the higher waste category rate, every customer weighs out unless a tare weight is on file, and a load that is not secured with a rope, tarp or other cover draws an added fee. Cash and credit cards are taken at the scale house, with a deposit while the load is weighed, and a charge account needs prior credit approval. Tires with rims and oversized tires are charged at the higher tire rate, and loads delivered in a tractor trailer or needing special handling are handled at the landfill rather than a transfer station.
Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., closed Sundays, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
