Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.
Toilets
Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.
Bathroom vanities
Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

City cost & eligibility
The village includes up to two cubic yards of do it yourself scale remodeling material per household per week and states that quantities beyond two cubic yards plus large, awkward or heavy items fall under special pickup requirements or charges, with LRS quoting those at 844-633-3577 rather than publishing a single figure.
When & how
Set the material out on the collection day by 7 a.m. inside the two cubic yard weekly allowance, and call LRS before a larger quantity goes out.
Get it ready
Put loose material in containers or tie it in bundles no longer than four feet and under 50 pounds, keep the cylinders under 33 gallons for personal containers, and handle glass, frames and toilets the way the village describes: glass broken into a box labeled broken glass, frames disassembled, and two piece toilets separated.
Nothing may exceed 50 pounds, carpet is cut into widths no greater than four feet and tied in rolls, window and patio glass is broken into a box labeled broken glass with the frames disassembled, grills and gas equipment are emptied of fuel with the empty tank placed in the trash separately, two piece toilets are separated, and a mattress or box spring is wrapped in plastic with a queen or king set split across two weeks.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?+
Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Lakeshore Recycling Systems, known as LRS, has been the village's exclusive residential provider for curbside waste, recycling and yard waste since May 1, 2022. How much bulk waste is included in Schaumburg?+
Two cubic yards of extra material plus up to two bulk items, each under 50 pounds and under two cubic yards, as long as the load is within Illinois landfill rules and safe for the driver to handle. What do the paid services cost?+

Where do electronics go?+
To one of the local recyclers the village lists, because electronics are illegal in the regular trash and the contractor tags anything left at the curb. Protech Environmental in Elk Grove takes televisions and monitors of any size for 20.00 and microwaves for 20.00, and the village also lists AVA Recycling, Best Buy on Golf Road, the Elk Grove Township Recycling Center and EZ Electronics Recycling. How does yard waste collection work?+
Yard waste runs from April 1 through the second full week in December on the same day as the rest of the collection, using the resident's own can of 35 gallons or less marked YW or brown kraft bags at no charge, with a 50 pound limit and bundles no longer than four feet and two feet in diameter. Food waste may be mixed in, a cart can be rented for a fee, and multi family dwellings are excluded from yard waste service.Official guidance
