No charge. One furniture piece counts as the single weekly bulk item that is included with the refuse service the household already pays for, with no separate charge for that piece. A second piece or a heavier piece is scheduled and charged directly by LRS.

Set the piece beside the trash cart on the regular collection day, or schedule it with LRS at least 24 hours ahead if it is a second item or needs extra handling.
Get it ready
Keep the piece whole unless it comes apart easily, leave it beside the cart rather than in the street, and note that a sectional counts one piece at a time. Upholstered items should stay dry so they can be lifted safely.

A second item, anything over 50 pounds, and any item needing extra labor or equipment has to be scheduled with LRS at least 24 hours ahead and is charged directly, and LRS will give a cost estimate for a special refuse collection.

An item that is not scheduled is left behind, and the single weekly bulk item is the only large item the ordinary collection takes without a call.
