From $40 per appliance that still holds Freon at the Olathe Transfer Station, on top of the per-ton tipping fee and its minimum per load. Olathe Transfer Station, 1681 S Valley Road, Olathe, where an Overland Park load pays the published non-resident rate. A residential load may not arrive in a commercial vehicle or with a hired hauler, and Habitat ReStore picks up working appliances free of charge instead.
When & how
Drop off at the Olathe Transfer Station Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Saturday 7 a.m. to noon, book the free ReStore pickup, or ask the permitted hauler serving the address whether the appliance fits its yearly bulky item pickup.
