Give the recycling cart three feet of clearance

The recycling cart goes to the curb or alley facing the street with at least three feet of clearance on all sides so the collection arm can reach it. Liquids stay out and sharps get a hard container

No liquids go in the refuse cart. Used needles and sharps go into an empty hard plastic container with a tight fitting lid, such as a laundry detergent or bleach bottle rather than a milk jug or a red biohazard container, with the lid taped and the contents written on the outside.
