Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise equipment is named in no price tier, so the machine has to be confirmed through the permit system before it goes out.
City cost & eligibility
The City prices couches, smaller furniture, appliances and electronics item by item but does not name exercise equipment, so ask the department of public works or City 311 which tier the machine falls into and what the charge would be before applying.
When & how
Through the bulky permit system if the City confirms the item, applying before the mid afternoon deadline for a next day pickup.
Get it ready
Break the machine down as far as it comes apart and keep loose weights with the frame, then set it out only once the permit is confirmed. Keep it out of the recycling cart and off the sidewalk until the pickup is scheduled.
Nothing bulky is collected without an online permit, and the deadline matters: mid afternoon Monday through Thursday for a next day pickup, and by mid afternoon on the preceding Thursday for a Friday or a Monday. The City warns that a late application may push the item to the following week, so the permit is filed before the item reaches the curb.

Online bulky item permit
A Revere household with furniture, a rolled rug or another item that will not fit the cart. A mattress or box spring is not part of this route: the City takes those only at the department of public works yard drop-off.
Cost & conditions
$25 for the published per item charge for an upper tier bulky item, with a lower tier published for smaller items, a lower senior rate on each tier and a mattress priced on its own line. Revere residents submitting the permit through the City permitting portal and paying online, for the items the fee table makes curbside eligible: the couch tier, the smaller furniture tier, and the appliance and electronics rate. Mattresses, tires, toilets and sinks, small household appliances, paint cans and overflow trash sit in the Miscellaneous block the table marks Ineligible for Curbside Pickup, so those go to the department of public works yard or a private route.
Arrange it
Register in the permitting portal, apply under the bulky item pickup type and the correct subtype, pay online, and put the item out only after the confirmation arrives.
Each item is charged separately, construction debris, antifreeze, gas cans and aerosol paint cannot be permitted at all, and a late application may wait until the following week.

Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
Enter the combined weight in pounds for your dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Booking rounds that total up to the next 10 lb unit: 25 lb uses three units. Stands, racks and benches are separate items and do not include the loose weights. Add each one that is going.
Can exercise equipment be picked up?+

Yes. What if trash will not fit in the cart?+
Only one city cart may sit at the curb, except during the six designated overflow weeks the City publishes. Overflow trash is priced as a miscellaneous item in the fee table's Ineligible for Curbside Pickup block, so the paid route is a drop-off at the department of public works yard rather than extra bags left beside the cart.
