Revere runs its own collection through a sanitation contractor and charges for the items that will not fit the cart, with one price list covering everything. Trash comes weekly from a city issued blue cart, recycling comes every other week on a Green or Red schedule that the address lookup resolves, and yard waste and street sweeping follow their own calendars. The bulky program no longer uses stickers: a couch, a refrigerator or a television each carry a published price and are requested through an online permit that has to be filed by mid afternoon for a next day pickup. A mattress or box spring can no longer be put out at the curb at all: since 1 December 2024 it is accepted only as a drop-off at the department of public works yard on the last Saturday of each month from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., for the published per piece charge.
