The 2026 white goods collections were on March 5, June 4 and September 3, with the winter collection on December 3; the registration form opens one month before each pick-up and requests are due by 5 p.m. on the Monday of the pickup week, with items on the curb by 7 a.m. for collection between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. The county facilities are open Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Get it ready
Register before the deadline, because only registered items are collected, keep the appliance out of a bulk pile since white goods are unacceptable there, empty the unit, and note that a microwave is excluded from the town collection and should go to the South Wake Landfill or a Green Day event instead.
The bulk week refuses white goods, electronics and building material

White goods have their own quarterly town collection by registration, electronics and appliances go to the county's multi-material recycling facilities, tires to the county's scrap tire facilities, and chemicals to the county's household hazardous waste facilities.

Arrange it
Use the North Wake facility at 9029 Deponie Drive in Raleigh or the South Wake facility at 6130 Old Smithfield Road in Apex, both open Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or the East Wake facility in Wendell which opens Saturday and Sunday only.
Liquids must be pourable and no drums are accepted, scrap metal and wood pallets are only taken at the North and South sites with pallets limited to ten, the sites are closed on the listed holidays, and scavenging or exchanging material on site is prohibited.
