Computers, monitors, printers and similar electronics are prohibited in the cart, are not part of the OCRRA drop-off sites, and go instead to a participating electronics drop-off under the state law.
City cost & eligibility
Fees depend on the site rather than the city: one listed Liverpool site is free for many electronics while another charges for televisions, and some sites accept only part of the covered list. Confirm the site, the item and any fee by phone before the trip.

Use the current electronics drop-off list, call the site to confirm it accepts your item and what it charges, and deliver the equipment during that site's hours instead of putting it at the curb.
Get it ready
Erase personal data from computers, drives and phones before handover, keep power supplies with the device, and leave electronics out of the trash cart and the bulk pile.
Yard waste, hazardous or toxic waste, paint, televisions and other electronics, demolition waste, medical or pathological waste, explosives and radioactive material are all prohibited in the trash cart and have their own routes.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
A household with a television, monitor, computer, printer or other covered electronic device.
Cost & conditions
Each drop-off site sets its own terms: one Liverpool site takes two televisions per household a year for 20 dollars each while many other items are free, a Dewitt retailer may charge depending on the item, and some listed sites refuse televisions altogether. Call before the trip.
Arrange it
Check the current county list, call the site to confirm it accepts your item and what it charges, then deliver it during that site's business hours or use a mail-back program.
The sites are independent businesses that do not report to the county, so their policies can change without notice; some accept only part of the covered electronics and some charge for televisions.

Data erasure and certified data destruction are not included in Dropcurb removal. Back up the information you need, then follow the manufacturer’s sign-out and reset instructions before pickup. If a device cannot be erased or contains sensitive business information, arrange suitable data handling before giving it away. Where do old computers and printers go in Syracuse?+
They cannot go in the trash cart, because the city lists televisions and other electronics among the prohibited items, and OCRRA does not accept electronics at its own locations.
