Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise equipment is not on the city's bulky item list, and the rate sheet sends anything unlisted back to the hauler for a price, so a treadmill or a weight machine is confirmed before it is scheduled.
City cost & eligibility
The rate sheet says bulky item pickup is available for most anything and that unlisted items are priced by the hauler, so the machine has no published charge. Call the franchised hauler that serves the address for the item cost, remember that it is added to the per trip fee, and ask whether a second driver will be needed for a machine that cannot be moved to the collection route.

Call the franchised hauler first and confirm the machine and its price, then put it out where the crew can reach it on the arranged day.
Get it ready
Take the machine down as far as it comes apart and keep the pieces together where the crew can reach them, because an item that has to be collected from a garage or driveway can add a second driver by the hour. Keep electronics such as a console or a battery pack out of the machine and send those to a Metro transfer station instead.
At a Metro transfer station the minimum fee covers a load up to 240 pounds, heavier loads are charged by the ton plus a transaction fee, and an uncovered load pays an additional per ton charge. Sort recyclables out for a rebate, declare mattresses and metal appliances so they land on the free lines, and keep vehicles, asbestos, roofing, liquids, burned material and electric vehicle batteries out of the load entirely.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
A household with a couch, a mattress, an appliance or another listed item that would rather hand it to the company already collecting the carts.
Cost & conditions
From $22 per bulky item pickup trip at the rate the city council approved, with a separate item charge for each piece from the adopted list. Hillsboro residents served by one of the six franchised haulers. The item list covers couches, sectionals, chairs, tables, dressers, shelves, file cabinets, mattresses by size, appliances and more, and anything unlisted is priced by the hauler.
Arrange it
Call the hauler that serves the address, name every item, take the quoted item charges plus the trip fee, and put the load where the crew can reach it on the arranged day.
The trip fee is charged even when the item is not out and the pickup was not cancelled, a second driver is billed hourly for an item that is not accessible from the collection route, and a container or drop box for a project load is a separate service with its own schedule.

Dropcurb pickup starts outside. Arrange indoor carrying, stairs and any dismantling needed to get your equipment out before pickup. Check the moving instructions for your exact model and arrange suitable help. We load and haul away the equipment from an accessible outdoor spot.
Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+

Who collects garbage in Hillsboro?+

What are the routes for a large item?+
The city lists four: donate the item, pass it on through a reuse site, look it up with Washington County's What to Recycle and Where tool where fees may apply, or call the franchised hauler, whose oversized item prices are in the city's adopted rate sheet.
