Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.
You do not need a whole house of junk. Select the bags, boxes and larger items you actually have. Your combined price is shown online.
When the next collection does not fit your plans, choose a Dropcurb pickup day. Updates keep you informed, and completion photos show when the booked items are gone.

A few simple choices turn a mixed pile into a clear booking. No need to estimate how much of a truck it might fill.
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

A large item leaves on a bulky pickup arranged with the household's franchised hauler. The city approves the price, and the rate sheet sets one fee for the trip plus a separate charge for each item on its published list.
Furniture is priced piece by piece on the city's bulky item list, so a couch, a sectional, a recliner and a dresser each have a published charge on top of the trip fee. Furniture is also one of the items Metro Central charges as garbage when a household hauls it instead.
Mattresses are priced by size on the city's bulky item list, and Metro Central takes them free from residential customers, up to four a day, with a credit when one arrives in a mixed load.
Appliances are on the city's bulky item list with a charge for each unit, and Metro Central takes the metal ones free from residential customers. A unit built to hold coolant is treated separately at both.
A cooling appliance has its own line in both price lists: the city charges the highest bulky rate for a residential refrigerator, freezer or portable air conditioner, and Metro Central charges a coolant appliance fee with a daily limit.
Electronics are not on the curbside lists, and they do not need to be: Metro is an Oregon E-Cycles location and takes computers, printers, televisions, monitors, tablets, keyboards and mice free from residential customers.
A project load has two published routes: a temporary clean-up container or drop box from a franchised hauler at the city's adopted rate, or a self-hauled load at Metro Central, where garbage and clean wood are charged by weight at different rates.
Exercise equipment is not on the city's bulky item list, and the rate sheet sends anything unlisted back to the hauler for a price, so a treadmill or a weight machine is confirmed before it is scheduled.
The handoff matters
The franchised hauler collects the garbage weekly and the recycling and yard debris carts every other week, and curbside means within five feet of a public or private road, with a yard rate for five to fifty feet and a distance charge beyond that. An extra bag, an overfilled cart with the lid ajar more than six inches, an uncontained pile and a contaminated recycling or yard debris cart each carry their own published charge.

Yes. Estimate how many trash bags the small household pile would fill, and bag or box as much as possible. Select furniture and other larger items separately. There is no extra charge just because the pile is loose. Send a photo first if the count or contents are unclear. A household Dumpster Bag choice does not accept construction debris.
