No charge. Free of charge in the designated electronics recycling area at the Columbia County Transfer Station, which lists computers, monitors, printers and televisions. Electronics are refused in a Hudson container and must stay out of the curbside recycling cart.
When & how
The electronics area is available during transfer station hours, Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Get it ready
Wipe the drive or remove the storage before handover, take the cords and peripherals with the device, place the items into the designated boxes rather than into a general waste pile, and keep electronics out of the recycling cart, which lists Christmas tree lights as unacceptable and takes no devices.

Arrange it
