Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Electronics and televisions

Accepted with preparation

Televisions are on Peoria's acceptable bulk trash list, and the city's Recycles Day event takes computers, monitors, laptops, tablets, small printers, scanners, fax machines, modems, cords, cell phones and game consoles. Electronics and batteries are explicitly excluded from the curbside recycle cart, so neither stream belongs in the blue container.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. No additional fee for a television on a bulk trash appointment for a resident with an active Solid Waste account, within the two collections a calendar year and the pile limits. The Recycles Day event is open to residents and requires proof of residency.
When & how
Add a television to a bulk trash appointment, or take electronics to the next Peoria Recycles Day on Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Peoria Sports Complex, 16101 N 83rd Ave, entering on 83rd Ave and Mariners Way.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data from a computer before it leaves the house, keep electronics and batteries out of the recycle cart because the city lists both as things that do not belong there, and never put a lithium battery in a trash or recycling container because the city reports fires caused by them.
Archived snapshot dated March 9 2025 of the Bulk Trash Cleanup Program page, with appointment booking since February 6 2023, the two collections a calendar year, the size limit and oversize caveat, the confirmation-number rule, the placement guidelines, and the full acceptable and unacceptable item listsSolid Waste Division section page with the division's scope over trash, recycling, bulk trash and household hazardous waste, the twice-yearly bulk cadence, the Peoria Recycles Day event for November 7, 2026 with its appliance and electronics lists, the lithium battery warning and the current phone numbersRecycling in Peoria page with the co-mingled curbside program, the safe list and the do-not-place list that excludes electronics, batteries, yard waste and construction waste, and the clear-bag rule for shredded paper

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

A bulk pile needs a confirmation number first

Peoria changed bulk trash to a by appointment service in 2023, so the sequence matters more than the pile. Request the appointment, wait for the confirmation number or email, and only then set anything out. Piles are placed in the gutter or at the curb in front of the property by 6 a.m. on the zone collection date and no more than one day in advance, and they must stay clear of the sidewalk, the mailbox and parked cars. A pile that was never scheduled is not collected, and items placed on private property are not serviced and may draw a return fee.

City of Peoria Solid Waste Division

Book a bulk trash appointment

A household with an active Solid Waste account and furniture, a mattress, an appliance, a television, exercise equipment, prepared yard material or other large items that will not fit in the container.

Cost & conditions
No charge. The city states there is no additional fee for the bulk trash service. It is available to City of Peoria residents with active Solid Waste accounts, up to two collections per calendar year, on a first come first served basis, with a pile limit of 6 feet by 4 feet by 3 feet and possible additional fees for an oversized pile.
Arrange it
Request the appointment online, wait for the confirmation number or email, then put the pile in the gutter or at the curb by 6 a.m. on the zone collection date and no more than one day in advance.

Tires in any shape or size, metal and car parts, lithium batteries, glass including windows and mirrors, fluorescent tubes, hazardous waste, medical waste, rock, brick, dirt, block, gravel, concrete, shingle, dry wall, tile, mortar and sod are all refused, and an unscheduled pile is never collected.

City of Peoria Solid Waste Division

Book a special haul between bulk dates

A household with large bulky items that cannot wait for one of the two yearly bulk appointments.

Cost & conditions
From $65.55 per special haul pickup for every 30 minutes of loading time, with an additional 65 dollars and 55 cents when a large pickup requires a tractor or a roll-off bin, as published on the large item page, and a free quotation for large pickups from the Solid Waste Division at (623) 773-7431. City of Peoria residents with solid waste service, available up to two times a month, with the total added to the monthly utility billing. Confirm the current fee when booking, because the published figure comes from the city's own large item page and the division issues the quotation.
Arrange it
Call the Solid Waste Division at (623) 773-7890 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, to book the special haul and confirm the loading fee.

The city warns that special haul time slots fill up quickly and that the limit, together with the two yearly bulk collections, may not meet a household's timeframe, so a local hauling company or a landfill trip is the alternative.

Use the Peoria Recycles Day event

A household with electronics, small appliances or documents to shred, including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, water heater, cooler or small window air conditioner.

Cost & conditions
The event is open to residents and asks for proof of residency, and the city does not publish a fee for the electronics or shredding service, so confirm the current terms at (623) 773-7836 or recycle@peoriaaz.gov before loading the car.
Arrange it
Go to the Peoria Sports Complex at 16101 N 83rd Ave, Peoria, AZ 85382, entering from 83rd Ave and Mariners Way. The next event runs Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Documents are limited to three banker or file boxes per household in a box that is not returned, paper clips, rubber bands and staples have to come out, and the accepted appliance and electronics lists are the ones the city publishes rather than a general household clean-out.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Peoria residents who receive trash service can dispose of large and bulky items themselves at three area landfills named by the city. The Deer Valley Transfer Station at 22300 N. 21st Ave in Phoenix is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.; the Northwest Regional Landfill at 19401 W Deer Valley Rd in Surprise is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and the Glendale Landfill at 11480 W Glendale Ave is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. All three close on Sundays and holidays and all three charge a tipping fee that the city does not publish, so call for the current rate before loading. Residents have to bring a copy of the city utility bill because a driver's license is not accepted as proof of residency, and anyone driving into the Deer Valley Transfer Station needs a hard hat and safety vest, which can be bought on site. Tires are refused at Deer Valley and at the Northwest Regional Landfill, and the Glendale Landfill takes tires without rims up to five at the published per-tire charge. Hazardous material, paint, chemicals, lithium batteries and fluorescent tubes do not belong in any of these loads, and Peoria collects them at the home instead through a household hazardous waste appointment. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Peoria.

How much does TV removal cost in Peoria?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Peoria?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do televisions and computers go in Peoria?

Televisions are accepted on a bulk trash appointment, and computers, monitors, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, fax machines, modems and game consoles are taken at the city's Peoria Recycles Day electronics event, with the next one on Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Peoria Sports Complex.
