Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Get it ready
Describe the machine and its size when you call, remove the console or battery pack so the electronics can go to the county drop-off instead, and keep the frame clear of the carts and the street.
Place the cart on the street with the wheels against the curb by 6 a.m. on the collection day and bring it in the same day. Keep it at least three feet from parked cars, mailboxes and other obstacles, keep carts at least two feet apart from each other, and store them on private property and out of view from the street no later than midnight on collection day under the municipal code. Bag all trash and close the lid, because overflow can draw an extra charge or be left behind.
The city rate schedule gives each household two cubic yards of bulky material twice a year. Material beyond that is charged by the cubic yard, and a third or later pickup is charged a trip fee on top of the per cubic yard charge, so measure the pile before it goes out and arrange the pickup in advance through Waste Management.
