The local disposal guide
Manteca runs its own residential collection and puts the large household items through a quarterly event rather than a standing curbside rule. Trash is collected weekly in the city brown cart, and carts go to the gutter three feet from other carts and five feet from parked vehicles, out the night before or by 5 a.m. on the collection day. Day to day extras are handled with a small allowance of extra-garbage stickers, and once a year a household can have a two cubic yard cleanup bin delivered free for a day. For anything larger, each of the city districts gets its own District Community Clean-Up Event once a quarter, free to residents who bring a utility bill and identification. That event is where a couch, a mattress, an appliance, electronic waste, green waste and up to nine tires leave a property. Household chemicals do not go to the event and do not go in the cart: they go to the San Joaquin County hazardous waste facility behind the Stockton Airport, which is free to county residents.

A mattress is one of the items the city names for the District Community Clean-Up Event, and the same city page's Programs list also advertises a Mattress Recycling programme, so bedding leaves a Manteca property either at the quarterly event or through the recycling programme rather than at the curb.
Appliances are on the accepted example list for the District Community Clean-Up Event, so a large appliance leaves a property at the quarterly event.
The District Community Clean-Up Event accepts electronic waste, but the city publishes the stream by that name without listing the individual devices, so a television or a monitor is confirmed with the division before it is loaded.
The District Community Clean-Up Event takes up to nine tires per household, which is the only tire route the city publishes for residents.
Manteca publishes no construction or renovation route for households. The free cleanup bin is for everyday household garbage and refuses concrete and dirt, and the clean-up event's accepted list does not name project material.
Manteca names no exercise machine in the curbside rules or in the clean-up event accepted list, so a treadmill or weight machine is confirmed with the division before it is moved.
Household chemicals stay out of the cart and out of the clean-up event load. Manteca routes them to the San Joaquin County hazardous waste facility behind the Stockton Airport, which is free to county residents.
Manteca collects residential trash weekly in the city brown cart, with a small yearly allowance of extra-garbage stickers and a free cleanup bin as the day to day overflow routes.
