Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.

Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.

A single-family Northglenn household can have up to ten bulky items that will not fit in the trash cart picked up from the street, with two free special pickups a calendar year and a per request charge after that.
The City picks up most appliances in a special pickup, as long as the unit does not contain Freon.
A unit that holds refrigerant is refused on the special pickup, so the route has to be confirmed before the appliance goes out.
Electronics cannot go in the recycle cart or on a special pickup and are recycled through named local businesses instead.
Construction materials are refused on a special pickup, so a project load goes into a City roll-off rental or to a landfill the City names.
Tree branches, stumps, leaves and grass clippings drop free at the City's yard waste mulching center on scheduled Saturdays, and the resulting mulch is free to anyone.

The request has to reach the sanitation division at least 48 hours before the scheduled trash day, and it has to list every item, because crews collect only what is on the special pickup ticket. Nothing goes out until the confirmation arrives, and on the day the load has to be in the street by 7 a.m. rather than on a sidewalk or a driveway.

There is no extra charge just because the pile is loose. Send a photo first if the count or contents are unclear. A household Dumpster Bag choice does not accept construction debris.
