Larimer County Central Diversion and Transfer Station

General waste disposal along with mattress and box spring recycling, appliance handling that includes units holding refrigerant, electronics recycling at the station inside the old landfill entrance, furniture and exercise equipment as regular waste, tires, and separate rubble, shingle and drywall loads.
Larimer County closed the landfill to disposal on August 3, 2026 and moved waste disposal to this transfer station, so confirm the site for the load. Charges are set by vehicle type or by cubic yard and an uncovered or unsecured load is charged double. Electronics are banned from Colorado landfills, cooling appliances go to the resource recovery area rather than the hazardous waste drop-off, and mattress recycling applies only to pieces that are dry and free of bedbugs.
Disposal and electronics recycling run from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Saturday, and the hazardous waste drop-off is closed to the public on Wednesday. Call the 24 hour information line at 970-498-5770 or check the county page before a trip.
