The local disposal guide

Will the city
take it?

Naperville contracts residential garbage and recycling to Groot Industries on the city utility bill, and the programme takes more than a cart: furniture and appliances are included in the normal collection, Groot collects two bulk items a week at no additional cost and one appliance a week at no additional charge, and limited quantities of remodelling material go out weekly inside published container, bundle, weight and length limits. Landfill-banned material such as tires, car batteries, televisions and electronic waste is excluded from the normal route and goes to the city's Environmental Collection Campus on 156 Fort Hill Drive, where the DuPage County electronics collection runs on weekdays with per-unit fees for screens and the household hazardous waste facility opens at the weekend for any Illinois resident free of charge.
