Is there a recycling drop-off besides the cart?+
Yes. RRRASOC opens drop-off areas free to the public, including the materials recovery facility at 20000 W. Eight Mile Road in Southfield, on the northeast corner of Evergreen and Eight Mile, and a site at the Novi DPS Garage on 26300 Lee Begole Drive. Both are open daylight hours seven days a week and take unsorted, unbagged recyclables, but polystyrene foam, household hazardous waste and electronics are not accepted at either site.Official guidance
How do I pack material for the hazardous waste day?+
Label each container and close the cap tightly, bring nothing larger than five gallons or heavier than 50 pounds, transfer anything leaking into a secure container, put the containers in a box with a sturdy bottom and place the box on the floor or in the trunk rather than the front seat, and stay in the car while the technicians unload. Latex paint, fire extinguishers, radioactive materials, explosives, medical waste and smoke detectors are not accepted there.Official guidance
