When & how

Get it ready
Set items out between 7 a.m. the day before and 6 a.m. on the collection day, keep the pile to 7.5 cubic yards and leave nothing in black or opaque bags or in a loose pile. Cut carpet and fencing into 4 x 4 foot sections, and deface, bag and label anything infested. Uncollected items have to be off the curb within two days, and a missed pickup should be reported within 48 hours.

Put material in open boxes or clear bags so the contents can be identified, never in black or opaque bags, and do not leave a loose pile of junk. Each collection is limited to 7.5 cubic yards, which is about a pickup truck load. Cut carpet into 4 x 4 foot squares and roll it, cut fencing into 4 x 4 foot sections, and deface, bag and label anything infested with bedbugs or cockroaches.
