City cost & eligibility
The town and hauler publish no mattress rule and no per item charge, because bulky collection is inside the monthly contracted service, so confirm the set with the town solid waste line at 945-234-1924 before it goes to the kerb.
When & how
Call 945-234-1924 first, and if the set is accepted put it out before 7:00 a.m. on the regular collection day with the rest of the bulky material.
Get it ready
Keep the set dry and whole, take the frame and headboard off because they are separate pieces, keep the pile inside the four cubic yard weekly allowance, and never put bedding in the green recycling cart.
Each household has a gray 95 gallon trash cart and a green 95 gallon recycling cart from the town's hauler. Both go to the kerb before 7:00 a.m. with the wheels toward the curb, three feet apart from each other and clear of obstructions, for collection between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Household trash stays in the gray cart or in up to ten disposable bags, recyclables stay loose in the green cart, and a customer-owned cart left out is treated as bulk trash and removed.

Cost & conditions
$23.33 for for the monthly basic residential service that includes the weekly garbage and recycling carts, the weekly yard waste programme and the weekly bulky collection of up to four cubic yards, with a fuel charge assessed in accordance with the town's current contract and rates that are not prorated. Town of Prosper residential accounts on the town's hauler contract; additional carts are available for a monthly charge, and the account is billed monthly through the utility bill.
Arrange it
Put everything at the kerb before 7:00 a.m. on the household's collection day, with the carts three feet apart and the bulky pile inside four cubic yards, and confirm the day with the town's trash, recycling, brush and bulk schedule map.
Commercial construction and remodelling debris, household hazardous waste, car parts, tires, batteries, propane tanks, bricks and concrete, and debris from commercial tree services are refused. A customer-owned cart left out is taken away as bulk trash, and an appliance that held refrigerant needs a certified technician's tag before it can be collected.
