Salt Lake Valley Landfill at 6030 W. California Ave. is the closest voucher destination — about 10 miles north of Taylorsville, Monday–Saturday 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The flat-load drive-up rate is $17 for a car, SUV, or pickup (up to 1-ton) with a hand-unload trailer; bigger trucks pay $36/ton mixed trash with a $17 minimum. Mattresses and box springs are billed an extra $18 each, freon-containing fridges and freezers are $20 each, and tires are $4 each (max 12 per load). Trans-Jordan Landfill at 10873 S. Bacchus Hwy is the alternate WFWRD voucher site about 9 miles south, on credit and debit only. The Neighborhood Cleanup Trailer rotates city-by-city through Salt Lake County, so the next window on your block can be weeks out, and the Reserve-a-Trailer program requires applying ahead and coordinating drop-off and pickup logistics through Midvale. WFWRD also moved billing to Point & Pay in 2024–2025 (888-891-6064), which is why monthly statements look different than they used to.
