Sammamish contracts its curbside garbage, recycling and compost collection to Republic Services, and the city also runs free recycling events on published dates. Disposal is county work: King County's Factoria Recycling and Transfer Station in Bellevue takes weighed household loads, recycles mattresses and refrigerant appliances for a published price each, and collects household hazardous waste free in its own building.
