The local disposal guide
Somerton runs its own sanitation division for about three thousand households, with weekly collection and curbside recycling, and once a year it runs a curbside cleanup through twelve city areas for ordinary household bulk items. That cleanup is where a refrigerator, a stove, a washing machine, furniture, electronics and a rimless tire leave the kerb. Electronics and household chemicals also go to the regional hazardous waste event that the City of Somerton co-sponsors, and construction material never goes in either route.
